In response to your post last blog in regards to OEL. If he's in play I offer our 2015 1st, pens 1st, Marincin and maybe a mid level prospect as well. Or 2015 1st and yak. The 1st option may seem to be much better but if yak ever pans out that cold be a hell of a deal for the yotes

after the lottery is done, once the order is established, the pick probably would worth more when a team has a for sure position locked down and can spend the time rating their draft board

My phone auto corrected HNIC to HIV and coincidentally that pretty much sums up their broadcasts this year.

Today it's likely more coveted then on draft day tho. I think we will draft 4th or 5th. I say get rid of it now while we are still at the bottom

This I agree with. Add conditional picks one way or the other to compensate any changes in draft order. Do it now while OEL is on the market. 28 other interested teams should create some urgency here.

I think many teams would be in on him, creating a bidding war. Unless the pick is guaranteed mcdavid a pick alone won't do it

Thats great if the pick ends up being anything after 1st..but if somehow the Oilers win the draft lottery it would be so sad to see McDavid go to the Coyotes than the Oilers. OEL might be a very good defenceman....but not a generational player at all.
